with knitting instructor Venessa Bentley

The Lesley Pullover, designed by Hannah Fettig, is a simple and quick to knit raglan-shaped pullover that would be a great next step if you are new or back again to knitting

We will cast on at the neck and shape the yoke gracefully over the shoulders with simple increases. Then we’ll divide for the sleeves, leaving them on hold, while we knit the body. If you have been knitting in our baby sweater classes, this will sound familiar, and will reinforce the learning you have done. In our first class, we will spend necessary time choosing sizing that fits you well, customizing the sweater to suit your body and style preferences.

The yarn we are suggesting for this garment is Cascade Eco, a soft and airy wool yarn, that you can find at Penelope Fibre Arts. Swatching information will be sent out prior to the first class.

Size Inclusive Pattern includes chest circumference from 32” to 60” Yarn requirements: 600 to 1150 metres. Needle sizes: for the yarn you choose. Smaller for ribbing, larger for body and sleeves, in the range of 5.5 mm/6mm. Notions: stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, a needle to weave in your ends Suggested gauge: 14 stitches and 20 rows = 4” (10 cm) on larger needles but our priority will be making fabric that is functional and pleasing.

You will learn: - how to customize the fit - how to shape a yoke using raglan lines - to work in the round with circular and double pointed needles - to finish your project beautifully, including blocking, and weaving in.

Please email Venessa at if you have any questions, and stop into the shop to purchase your supplies. The pattern is available for purchase on ravelry.
