Ashford offers two sizes of 100% Mercerized cotton weaving yarn. 
Available in 18 beautiful modern colours. Mercerized cotton is perfect for table runners, place mats, garments, trim on matte cotton tea towels and more. Mercerized cotton is a great choice for Inkle band weaving. 

Originally, the process of mercerization pre-shrank cotton fibres and increased tensile strength and the cottons ability to take up dyes. Later improvements put mercerized cotton under tension and created the lustre effect that we appreciate in this yarn.
