Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom, stand and accessories

This affordable and portable rigid heddle loom is quick and easy to use. Everything is included in the kit. Quick and easy to assemble and warp. The rigid heddle is a great introduction to hand weaving but is also very versatile. 

Create beautiful and unique garments and household textiles. With colour and texture weave unique fabrics or with pick-up sticks create beautiful designs. The loom can also make woven tapestries and wall hangings. Made from Silver Beech hardwood the loom is very strong and robust. 

Four great weaving widths 40, 60, 80 and 120 cm (16, 24, 32 and 48 ins).  An optional stand is also available for all sizes. *New* from Ashford, one stand for 16"-32" sizes, plus 12" and 48", all purchased separately.

All Rigid Heddle and Knitters Looms come with a 7.5 dpi (dents per inch) reed, others (2.5, 5, 10, 12 and 15) may be purchased separately. If you wish to weave with finer threads using the built-in double heddle block you will need 2 reeds, 2 x 12.5 dpi = 24 epi for example.

Other accessories for the Rigid Heddle Loom include variable dent reeds (for using different weights of yarn in one warp), warp weights, tapestry beater, weaving needles, extra cardboard warp spacers, pick up sticks, different lengths of stick shuttles and Ashford's Book of Rigid Heddle Weaving. 

Warping pegs (set of 14) are available for indirect warping on Rigid Heddle Looms (not Sample it or Knitter's Looms). This method is useful when you are warping a longer warp with thinner warp threads.
