In order by photograph:

Cultivated Silk, also called Bombyx silk or mulberry silk, is produced from silk worms in captivity and feed only mulberry leaves. The silk is 10-13 microns and very white.

Tussah Silk - Bleached. Tussah silk is a natural, honey-beige colour and is produced by wild silk worms. The Antherea mylitta caterpillar produces Tussah silk and eats leaves from the Arjun, Asan or Oak tree.

Tussah Silk, natural honey colour

Silk Noils are a by-product of the combing process of silk. Silk noils are short fibers with bits of pupa. Noils are easy to dye. When blended into wool, they create a textured yarn with flecks of the dyed colors. These can also be used in paper-making.

Silk Hankies - after cocoons have ben partially degummed, the fibres are expanded and stretched by hand over a frame forming approximate 10" squares. Handspinners use this form of fibre to make yarn.

Cultivated Silk Merino 50/50 blends the warmth of merino wool with the lustre, shine, and strength of silk. Also called Bombyx silk or mulberry silk, this silk is produced from silk worms in captivity and feed only on mulberry leaves

Merino Tussah 80/20  - tussah silk adds additional shine and luxury to this fine Merino fibre

BFL Tussah Silk 75/25 - Lustrous Blue Faced Leicester and yummy Tussah! How can you go wrong, one of most popular blended, ecru fibres.

Polwarth Wool/Silk (85/15) - blends with tussah silk add additional shine and luxury to the yarns

Angora - fibre is from angora rabbits and is produced into a combed top. Micron 11-13 staple length 2.5 inches, 50-60 mm -hard to describe how soft this is! Angora is very flyaway and is best blended with a fine wool or silk.

Merino / Angora (80/20) - 100% angora yarn is extremely warm. This fibre blend enhances the qualities associated with angora without the overly warm properties
